Although the discussion and development of <br />the Greene Tract has come up regularly at the Assembly of Government over the last few <br />years, in the spring of 2007 the Assembly of Government agreed to use a subcommittee to <br />more fervently examine the issues prerequisite and surrounding the development and <br />preservation of the Greene Tract. <br />A group of elected officials met twice with the managers, and staff to discuss the following topic <br />areas: <br />a. BACKGROUND LAND USE AND OWNERSHIP <br />b. ENVIRONMENTAL/NATURAL FEATURES/PRESERVATION PARAMETERS <br />C. UTILITY EXISTING AND PROPOSED <br />d. TRANSPORTATION AND ACCESS <br />e. AFFORDABLE HOUSING TRACT DEVELOPMENT ALTERNATIVES <br />f. COMMUNITY TASK FORCE <br />Discussion points on each topic follow a general description of the pertinent issues noted above <br />(Attachment 1). <br />
