THE ARTSCENTER, INC. 5 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY APPLICATION <br /> EXHIBIT F (DETAILED REQUEST) 11 MARCH 1994 <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Incorporated in 1974, The ArtsCenter, Inc. is a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary, <br /> community arts facility serving children and adults from a broad range of social and <br /> economic backgrounds. It is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a private, not- <br /> for-profit organization under section 501 (c) 3 and as a tax exempt organization by the <br /> State of North Carolina. The ArtsCenter is accessible to a number of Triangle <br /> communities. Chapel Hill, Pittsboro, Hillsborough, Sanford, Durham and Raleigh are all <br /> within a 30-mile radius of The ArtsCenter.
