37 <br />Application - A formal request. containina all necessary and required <br />documentation. submitted to Oranae County to construct or modify a wireless <br />support structure or a wireless facility. <br />Board -The Oranae County Board of County Commissioners. <br />Buildina Code -The most recently adopted or amended edition of the North <br />Carolina State Buildina Code. <br />Buildina permit - An official Oranae County administrative authorization to beain <br />construction consistent with the provisions of G.S. 153A-357. <br />Collocation -The installation of new wireless facilities on previously approved <br />structures includina #~3werswireless support structures.. buildinas. utility poles. <br />and water tanks. <br />Commercial Impracticability or Commercially Impracticable -The inability to <br />perform an act on terms that are reasonable in commerce; the cause or <br />occurrence of which could not have been reasonably anticipated or foreseen and <br />that jeopardizes the financial efficacy of the project. Such structures rrmav include. <br />but shall not be limited to. telecommunications wireless support structures. <br />overhead transmission line support structures. water tanks. silos. churches.. <br />schools. and utility poles. <br />Extraordinary Conditions -Conditions subsequent to a hurricane. flood. tornado. <br />or other natural or other disaster. <br />FAA -The Federal Aviation Administration or its duly desianated and authorized <br />successor aaencv. <br />FCC -The Federal Communications Commission or its duly desianated and <br />authorized successor aaencv. <br />Fall Zone -The area in which a wireless support structure may be expected to <br />fall in the event of a structural failure. as measured by enaineerina standards. <br />Guyed Wireless support structure - A telecommunication wireless support <br />____ <br />structure that is supported. in whole or in part. by auv wires and around anchors. <br />
