Amend Section 3.3 - Land Use Plan Categories by changing the table of basic and detailed land <br /> use categories to read as follows: <br /> BASIC CATEGORY ORANGE COUNTY LAND USE PLAN CATEGORIES <br /> DEVELOPED Urban <br /> Existing Urban Activity Node <br /> Proposed Urban Activity Node <br /> TRANSITION 10-Year Transition <br /> 20-Year Transition <br /> Commercial Transition Activity Node <br /> Commercial-Industrial Transition <br /> Activity Node <br /> E onomic Development(Transition) <br /> Activity Node <br /> COMMUNITY Rural Community Activity Node <br /> RURAL Rural Buffer <br /> Rural Residential <br /> Agricultural-Residential <br /> Rural Neighborhood Activity Node <br /> Rural Industrial Activity Node <br /> Agricultural Areas <br /> CONSERVATION Public Interest Area <br /> Water Supply Watershed <br /> Wager Quality Critical Area <br /> Resource Protection Area <br /> New Hope Creek Corridor Open Space <br /> In addition, amend the table of Land Use Plan Category Descriptions to include a new category <br /> entitled"Economic Development Activity Node" to read as follows: <br /> BOOKOWMOMLOPIOWTACTEEMNOD&Land in Transition areas of the County which has <br /> been specifically targeted for economic development activity consisting of light industrial,distribution, <br /> GMM service/retail uses, and flex space (Typically one-story buildings designed constructed, and <br /> marketed as suitable for use as offices but able to accommodate other uses;e.g.,warehouse,showroom, <br /> manufacturing assembly or similar operations.). Such areas are located adjacent to interstate and <br /> mgior arterial highways, and subject to special design criteria and performance standards. <br /> 2. Amend Section 3.4 - Locational Criteria by adding criteria by which to evaluate the location of <br /> Economic Development Activity Nodes [Transition]. <br /> PLAN CATEGORY-ECONO1fUIC DBVFI.OPIcNT ACTIVlTYNODES <br /> [TRANSMOlV AREASI <br /> Luria Skm Located in areas with slopes of less than 15%grade. Where slopes of 15%or greater are <br /> Present,protection can be provided through proper site design and construction practices. <br />
