The needs of the <br /> bicycle plan were created by digitizing the linkages and routes that were addressed by the <br /> residents, visitors, local bike clubs, and the Bicycle Steering Committee. The purpose of <br /> the plan is to develop a dynamic and comprehensive planning tool which will focus on the <br /> city's growth strategies and facility needs and assist in the expansion, promotion, and <br /> funding of safe and efficient bicycle facilities, programs, and initiatives throughout the city. <br /> Project Experience-Transit& Rail Studies/Desi_gn <br /> East Guilford Track Separation Study, Guilford County, North Carolina (2004): Mr. <br /> Snow served as the project manager on this project. This analysis covers the 25 at-grade <br /> rail crossings along the proposed high speed rail corridor that will pass through Guilford <br /> County. Each at-grade crossing was analyzed relative to existing and projected vehicular <br /> traffic; existing and projected freight, commuter, and passenger rail service; existing and <br /> projected pedestrian and bicyclist traffic; accident history; and existing and projected land <br /> uses. Recommendations for closure, upgrading, and grade separating were provided for <br /> each location. <br /> 2 <br />
