RL, in the Commissioners' <br />Room at the Courtheu se, the regal er pl¢ce of meeting. <br />Present: Collier Cobb, Jr.> Chairmen; R. 0. Forrest end Sim L. Rfl and, <br />Commissioners. <br />Absent: Nono. <br />Idr. Carl Smith, represent¢tioe of the Reynolds Company, appeared and ex- <br />nlainad to the Board the possibility of buying iJnited States Certifi cetes of <br />Indebte dnoss through his company. <br />The Board, feeling that contain sums of money Which the Oounty had in its <br />denosi t¢ry mould not be needed for soverel months,~by motion duly made, <br />seconded and unanimously passed, authorized Ire A. l?end, County Accountant, <br />to melee the fol].or~ing purchases: <br />Se curi };i¢turit Date Fund A punt <br />5. erti_ficotes of Indebtadne sa Oct. 1, 19 2 School Building Fund yy~~ 0,000.00 <br />II. Certificates of Indebtedness Peb. 15, 1952 School Building Fund ~~, 50(000.00 <br />As ¢ Hart of the above motion, it :tas ¢lso ordered that these Securities <br />be left in Slew Yorlc cd th the Guaranty Trust Company, and that said Company <br />^;ould provide s receipt for these securities to the County. <br />It Was moved by Commissioner 511and, seconded by Co:msis si onar Forrest <br />and unanimously anpraved, th¢t the fire insurance carried on the Countg Jei1 <br />Building be increased by 216,000.00, and that the fire insurance on the <br />contents of the Courthouse be inereesed by $,000.00, effective immeai ate ly. <br />The 3oerd then anent the remainder of this meeting discussing the proposed <br />revaluation of all tenable reel property in the County. <br />?dr.
