Parking Deck Project Summary: An approximately 400 space parking deck has been constructed at the campus. The parking deck will remain in the ownership of the developer, with the County receiving a license to use approximately 200 spaces as designated in the various agreements between the parties. The developer will also offer approximately 200 spaces for pay-by- the-hour public parking. The spaces licensed to the County will also be available for pay-by-the-hour parking when not in use by the County. Estimated Completion Date: • Construction of deck is completed. • County departments in the Gateway Center may have access for parking beginning April 1. • Some parts of the deck will be used to stage for construction of the office building and library. Therefore, public parking will be available at the discretion of the developer at such time he deems appropriate. Office Building Project Summary: • Approximately 46,000 square feet of office space; • Functions scheduled for this building include: Information Technology, Planning and Inspections, Capital Projects, Environmental Health, ERCD, Engineering and Economic Development Status to Date: Programming on-going Estimated Completion Date: • First quarter 2009 Main Orange County Library Project Summary: • Approximately 23,000 square feet of library space; • Will relocate Orange County Library currently located in Whiffed Building on Tryon Street to this facility. • Ground breaking for facility scheduled for April 17, 2008 at 1 pm Status to Date: • Programming on-going Estimated Completion Date: • Second quarter 2009 2
