~'~"~C2C.;r~t6 r~ E "' <br />County Capital Project Update <br />As of March 15, 2008 <br />Progress continues on Orange County's aggressive capital construction program <br />in the following areas: <br />Central Orange Senior Center/ Adult Day Health Center and <br />Sportsplex Renovations <br />Project Summary: <br />• 10,000 square feet of new construction, plus 5,000 square foot renovation of <br />existing space within the Sportsplex for the Central Orange Senior Center; and <br />• 4,700 square feet of re-purposed space will be upfit within the Sportsplex for an <br />Adult Day Health Center; and <br />• 11,000 square foot renovation of the Sportsplex, including the construction of a <br />mezzanine area over the ice rink: <br />Status to date: <br />• Steel is currently being erected for senior center; <br />• Mezzanine .area is constructed and concrete deck has been completed; <br />• Project approximately 25% complete. <br />Estimated completion date: <br />• Scheduled completion late-fourth quarter 2008 <br />County Campus <br />The County Campus project in downtown Hillsborough includes three facilities: the <br />Gateway Center, an office building and a library. <br />Gateway Center <br />Project Summary: <br />• 22,000 square feet on the top two floors of the Gateway Center; <br />• Occupied by the Register of Deeds, Tax Assessor/Land Records and the <br />Revenue office. <br />Status to date: <br />• Facility opened for full operation on March 19, 2008. <br />• Open House scheduled for April 10, 2008 from 2pm until 5pm. <br />
