S <br /> 2 <br /> It is also prudent to note that in the event the Fire Officials on-site during the event deem that the <br /> pyrotechnics are in any manner jeopardizing public safety, the use of pyrotechnics will be <br /> suspended. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager acknowledges that all criteria for the approval of a pyrotechnics <br /> permit, as approved by the Board on January 18, 1994, has been met by the Dean Smith Center for <br /> the concert by RUSH on March 6, 1994; and therefore pursuant to the policy, recommends approval <br /> of the permit,contingent upon final site approval by the Chapel Hill Fire Officials; and authorize the <br /> Chair to sign on behalf of the Board. <br />
