Specifications' <br /> were developed that would meet Orange County's needs. Bids were then <br /> solicited from seventeen (17) vendors. Bids were received from four <br /> (4) vendors. A tabulation of bids is attached. <br /> FIRST RESPONSE, INC. of Cary, North Carolina submitted the lowest <br /> responsible bid at a delivered cost of $61,380.44 per unit. The total <br /> bid is within the funds budgeted for these two replacement ambulances. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board award the <br /> bid to FIRST RESPONSE, INC. for two units at the purchase price of <br /> $61,380.44 each. <br />
