Pa~N ~ ~ a~ <br />GODD'ARD *:CLAUSSEN <br />.::: NETWORK <br />Thomas has worked as a strategist and political analyst for Democratic candidates on a local, <br />statewide, and national basis. <br />In 2004, Thomas and his firm were chosen as direct mail consultants to the Democratic National <br />Committee's mail consortium, an elite group of mail firms that produced the mail for the <br />Presidential campaign. Thomas served as the primary point of contact in the creation and delivery <br />of all the Kerry-Edwards and Coordinated Campaign mail in New Hampshire-the only.state to go <br />from "red" to "blue:' <br />A former social worker, Thomas received his undergraduate degree from the University of North <br />Carolina-Chapel Hill and his Masters of Public Administration at the University of North Carolina- <br />Charlotte. When he's not traveling the country advising political campaigns, Thomas resides in <br />Carrboro, North Carolina with his wife, three children, and hound dog, Gracie. <br />Gerry Gunster-Deputy Project Manager, Chief Media and Strategic Planner <br />Gerry Gunster is the Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Goddard Claussen. He <br />manages national and state advocacy issues, directs statewide ballot measure campaigns and <br />provides strategic counsel for Goddard Claussen. He has a remarkable success record managing <br />issue advocacy campaigns and ballot measures in over fifteen states and Washington, D.C. He is <br />the recipient of an excellence award for "Best Public Affairs Campaign of the Year" and is a <br />frequent speaker at industry trade conferences discussing trends related to advertising, new media <br />and grassroots management. <br />Gerry has a broad range of public affairs experience from both the private and public sectors. He <br />was a Capitol Hill staffer for two members of Congress and has been a government affairs manager <br />for several trade associations. <br />Ben Goddard-Strategic and Creative Director <br />Ben Goddard is a founding partner of Goddard Claussen who oversees all aspects of our issue <br />advertising, provides strategic counsel and planning services, and directs message development for <br />clients of the firm. He is the President of the International Association of Political Consultants, and <br />is widely regarded as one of the most capable and creative talents in the business, particularly in <br />the area of issue advocacy and ballot measure campaigns.
