PROCLAMATION <br /> IN RECOGNITION OF MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DAY <br /> IN ORANGE COUNTY <br /> WHEREAS, Martin Luther King, Jr. was instrumental in the struggle <br /> for human rights worldwide, and <br /> WHEREAS, Martin Luther King, Jr. was the inspiration for civil and <br /> human rights nationwide, and <br /> WHEREAS, Martin Luther King, Jr. believed in civil rights for all <br /> people, and <br /> WHEREAS, Many jurisdictions nationwide recognize the great legacy <br /> to humankind inherent in the work and teaching of Martin <br /> Luther King, Jr. by observing a day in his honor, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners proclaim January 17, 1994 as <br /> MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
