Status of State Grants Program Application
Cameron reminded the Commission that the State Grants application
was made for the publication of the inventory book. The
announcement of grant recipients was to be made the first of
December. She stated that she had called the Secretary's office
today and was told they are still considering the applications.
A decision should be made within the next week. She stated that
this prevents the completion of the forms and proceeding with the
next survey and planning grant. If the County does not get the
State Grants application, the publication should be submitted for
the next survey and planning grant rather than the Preservation
Plan. She stated that this is due January 31, 1994.
b. Manuscript Subcommittee
Cameron distributed the subcommittee report prepared by Jean
Anderson (copy attached) . Allison stated that he thinks it is important
to have a pretty book, but it is also important to document the
things that may not be such great looking buildings. White
