In <br /> the current year, we are requesting that the Board of County <br /> Commissioners consider modifications that would allow the completion of <br /> a third floor Courtroom in the new Courthouse, renovations to the <br /> Sheriff 's Department Building and completion of the exterior paint <br /> project for the Historic Courthouse. We are also asking for direction <br /> from the Commissioners on the Southern Human Services Center . For this <br /> project to be complete on the current time schedule, it is necessary to <br /> make a decision about the size of this facility now, rather than wait <br /> for the 1994-99 capital improvements planning process. <br /> A. Current Year <br /> Additional Courtroom in New Courthouse - County staff has worked during <br /> the past few months with the Courts to find a solution to immediate <br /> Court space needs. The Courts have worked very cooperatively in their <br /> scheduling efforts to help ease overcrowding problems, but through <br /> discussions, it has become clear that an additional courtroom is <br />
