Many kinds of equipment and supplies are needed to run 15 different
competitions each year, although some, such as bowlers, rent their equipment, and others,
such as cyclists, own their bikes, most depend upon Senior Games to furnish these things.
Multiple entry forms are essential for a smooth-running sports program, also posters for
announcements and publicity, as well as programs for the opening ceremony.
How does this request relate to the Service League's purpose:
This program speaks to two of The Chapel Hill Service League's purposes: health and
recreation. The consistent year-round exercise programs and the healthy athletic
competition, geared to the needs of older citizens, ideally fulfills both of these objectives.
Active, physically and mentally fit, older adults are a definite asset to the community.
Please attach other supporting information you think may be helpful to the committee.
APPLICATION DUE JANUARY 7,1994
