Tinney, Ext. 2669 <br /> League TELEPHONE NUMBER: <br /> Hillsborough - 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill - 968-4501 <br /> Mebane - 227-2031 <br /> Durham - 688-7331 <br /> PURPOSE: <br /> To request that the Orange County Board of Commissioners approve the application for a <br /> grant from the Chapel Hill Service League for $500.00 for operating expenses. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Orange County Senior Games is a year-round wellness program for persons age 55 or older, <br /> sponsored by Orange County Recreation & Parks, Orange County Department on Aging, Chapel <br /> Hill Parks & Recreation and Carrboro Recreation & Parks. The program is funded through these <br /> agencies, through donations from the community, and through participant fees. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : <br /> The Manager recommends that the Board of Commissioners approve the Senior Games grant <br /> application to the Chapel Hill Service League. <br />
