Gordon, <br /> Earl McKee, Bernadette Pelissier, Renee Price and Penny Rich <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Mark Dorosin <br /> COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: John Roberts <br /> COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Bonnie Hammersley, Assistant County <br /> Managers Clarence Grier, Cheryl Young and Clerk to the Board Donna Baker (All other staff <br /> members will be identified appropriately below) <br /> NOTE: ALL DOCUMENTS REFERRED TO IN THESE MINUTES ARE IN THE PERMANENT <br /> AGENDA FILE IN THE CLERK'S OFFICE. <br /> Chair Jacobs called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. <br /> 1. Additions or Chanqes to the Aqenda <br /> Chair Jacobs noted that the following proposed addition to the agenda: <br /> - Pink Sheet -Addition to the Agenda - Item 4-c -Proposed Proclamation Recognizing the <br /> Twenty Five Year Anniversary of Orange County's Curbside Recycling <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Pelissier to <br /> add this item to the agenda as item 4-c. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> Chair Jacobs reviewed the following list of items at the Commissioner's places: <br /> - Proposed Revisions for item 4-b - Resolution of Declaration on Climate Change <br /> - Revised attachment 7 for item 5-b - Unified Development Ordinance Text Amendment <br /> Requiring Neighborhood Information Meetings for Special Use Permit Applications <br /> - Memo regarding item 7a - Proposed Orange County Parks and Recreation Master Plan 2030 <br /> - Orange County Facility Report for November 2014 <br /> Chair Jacobs recognized Bonnie Hammersley, who deferred to Jeff Thompson. <br /> • Introduction of new Sustainability Coordinator: Brennan Bouma <br /> Jeff Thompson introduced Brennan Bouma as the new Sustainability Coordinator for <br /> Orange County. He said Brennan Bouma comes from the Triangle J Council of Governments <br /> (TJCOG), where he served as a regional energy and environmental planner. He said Mr. <br /> Bouma will collaborate with the departments and assist the staff of the council of the <br /> environment. <br /> Brennan Bouma said he wanted to recognize Orange County's leadership and vision of <br /> sustainability. He said he looks forward to working with the Board of County Commissioners <br /> and the Orange County residents. <br /> Chair Jacobs welcomed him, on behalf of the Board. <br />
