Year-To-Date Budget <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2014-15. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Health Department <br /> 1 . The Health Department has received revenue notification for the following programs: <br /> • TANF Out-of-Wedlock Birth Prevention funds — The Health Department <br /> received notification of additional revenues of $3,947 in additional state funding. <br /> The additional funding will be used to help reduce the occurrence of unintended <br /> pregnancies and out of wedlock births. <br /> • Smiles for Kids funds — The Health Department received notification of receipt of <br /> a 2014 Delta Dental Foundation (DDF) Smiles for Kids grant award, with additional <br /> revenues of $4,000. The funds received are a grant from the Delta Dental <br /> Foundation for the 2014 Delta Dental Foundation Smiles for Kids Grant Award. <br /> The funding will be used for community outreach projects. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds. (See <br /> Attachment 1, column 1) <br /> Department of Environment, Agriculture, and Parks and Recreation <br /> 2. Based on current year and prior fiscal year concession collections, the Department of <br /> Environment, Agriculture, and Parks and Recreation (DEAPR) anticipates receiving <br /> additional revenue of $15,700 in concession revenue by the end of this fiscal year. <br /> Funds will be used for seasonal personnel and concession supply needs.
