BOARD OF ORANGE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS (BOCC) <br />GOALS — 2015 UPDATE <br />FOR DISCUSSIONS PURPOSES <br />71 <br />GOALS/PRIORITIES <br />ONGOING EFFORTS <br />SPECIFIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS <br />soccer and Twin Creeks. <br />• The 2001 Parks and Open Space bond <br />funds for Twin Creeks Park and the Soccer <br />Superfund have been issued and <br />appropriated. Soccer Superfund monies <br />went to the Eurosport Soccer Center and to <br />Twin Creeks Park (the funds allocated to <br />Twin Creeks from Soccer Superfund were <br />later shifted to the new Town of Chapel <br />Hill Cedar Falls Park Artificial Turf Field <br />project, which opened in early 2014). <br />• Phase I of Twin Creeks Park was opened in <br />2011, a segment of the Jones Creek <br />Greenway from Morris Grove Elementary <br />School to the future park's southern <br />boundary. This was accomplished in part <br />with federal funding. Some of the residual <br />funds for Twin Creeks were reassigned in <br />FY 2014 -15 to other projects, such as <br />Blackwood Farm Park, while some funding <br />(approximately $250,000) remains at Twin <br />Creeks for future planned site management <br />activity. <br />Priority 17: Review the Schools and <br />Planning and Inspections <br />Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance: (a) Is <br />. Although Durham has a designated "Urban <br />it doing what it was originally intended to <br />Growth Area" with Orange County in the <br />do? (b) Does it have application for Durham <br />vicinity of the Eno Economic Development <br />and Mebane? <br />District, the City has less than 17 acres of <br />incorporated area within Orange County and no <br />ETJ. <br />• Only four single - family residential lots are <br />undeveloped. Therefore, SAPFO and the CAPS <br />(Certificate of Adequate Public Schools) system <br />have limited applicability to Durham at the <br />
