BOARD OF ORANGE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS (BOCC) <br />GOALS — 2015 UPDATE <br />FOR DISCUSSIONS PURPOSES <br />Priority 24: Plan to acquire /land bank for <br />future park development. <br />Upper Neuse River Basin Association <br />(UNRBA) ($86K/Yr. for 3 to 5 yrs. + $IOK/yr. <br />last and this fiscal yr. to fund BMP evaluations <br />for nutrient reduction credits). The proposed <br />sampling locations are upstream and <br />downstream of each jurisdiction to determine <br />"contribution" to the nutrient problem(s). <br />Department of Environmental, Agricultural, Parks, <br />and Recreation (DEAPR) <br />• Acquisition and land - banking of identified <br />future park sites is one of the priorities of the <br />Lands Legacy Program. <br />• Additional lands for expansion of the soccer <br />center and the Upper Eno Nature Preserve <br />remain a priority as well, and the potential for a <br />joint school /park site with the City of Mebane is <br />also a possibility. <br />• The acquisition of future parks and nature <br />preserves will continue to be accomplished by <br />the leveraging of state and federal grants and <br />outside funding, using existing County funds. <br />E <br />represented the building industry: architect <br />and engineering firms, general contractors, <br />product manufacturers, inspections <br />departments, city planners, utilities <br />representatives, energy consultants and <br />raters. Participates in preparation of <br />Durham - Chapel Hill - Carrboro <br />Metropolitan Planning Organization <br />(MPO) Metropolitan Transportation Plans <br />(MTP) and related Air Quality (AQ) <br />Analysis and Conformity Determination <br />reports. The MTP identifies the highway, <br />transit and other transportation facilities to <br />be implemented in the MPO over the next <br />thirty years. The AQ Conformity report <br />demonstrates that the air pollutant <br />emissions from the transportation sector <br />represented in the MTP will not exceed <br />established limits. <br />Department of Environmental, Agricultural, <br />Parks, and Recreation (DEAPR) <br />• As of January 2015, all but one identified <br />future park site (Bingham District Park) <br />has been acquired. <br />
