Priority 22: Review and update County <br />personnel and operational policies and <br />procedures. <br />BOARD OF ORANGE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS (BOCC) <br />GOALS — 2015 UPDATE <br />FOR DISCUSSIONS PURPOSES <br />Department of Environmental, Agricultural, Parks, <br />and Recreation (DEAPR) <br />• Majority of recreation and athletics program <br />registration, and facility reservation, is now <br />accomplished through WebTrac automated <br />system on web site. <br />Human Resources <br />• Provide a strong training commitment to all <br />employees. <br />Develop and implement a Supervisor Training <br />Certificate Program for all current supervisors <br />mentor and enhance the growth of potential <br />supervisors and to provide a leadership program <br />for management executives. <br />Develop, implement and evaluate <br />57 <br />associated with permits; <br />significantly reducing paper work <br />to be stored by County and reduced <br />applicant's submittals to one set of <br />plans from three sets in 2010. <br />Partnering with OC Information <br />Technologies and OC Environmental <br />Health identifying all workflows, business <br />rules, and processes to be analyzed and <br />mapped for selection, support, and <br />implementation of a new Land <br />Management Central Permitting System <br />that will replace our current twelve year <br />old permitting and field inspection <br />software in 2013 and 2014. <br />Now accepting commercial building plans <br />in electronic format for required plans <br />review. 2014. <br />Department of Environmental, Agricultural, <br />Parks, and Recreation (DEAPR) <br />• Advisory board agendas and materials are <br />now transmitted by email. Some meetings <br />and business conducted by teleconference. <br />Human Resources <br />• Implemented and expanded <br />activities and programs that address <br />employee training and development, talent <br />acquisition and performance management <br />to ensure that the knowledge, skills, <br />abilities and performance of the workforce <br />meet current and future county and <br />individual needs. <br />
