BOARD OF ORANGE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS (BOCC) <br />GOALS — 2015 UPDATE <br />FOR DISCUSSIONS PURPOSES <br />M <br />GOALS/PRIORITIES <br />ONGOING EFFORTS <br />SPECIFIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS <br />and conservation policy updates. <br />• The Commission for the Environment <br />(consistent with its 2013 -14 goals and <br />discussion at the fall 2014 joint meeting with <br />the BOCC) is researching strategies and <br />initiatives for energy efficiency, renewable <br />energy, and related sustainable development — <br />including incentives such as reduced building <br />permit fees for energy - efficient construction <br />and renovation in Orange County. <br />• DEAPR is also working on energy use <br />reduction strategies at park facilities, as sports <br />and other lighting increases.
