BOARD OF ORANGE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS (BOCC) <br />GOALS — 2015 UPDATE <br />FOR DISCUSSIONS PURPOSES <br />30 <br />GOALS/PRIORITIES <br />ONGOING EFFORTS <br />SPECIFIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS <br />(i.e. Aging, DSS, Library, Health, Child <br />Support Enforcement, and Housing), <br />OUTBoard to include Transportation <br />Services /Orange Public Transit (OPT) on its <br />agenda quarterly. Departments mentioned have <br />been asked to provide supplemental staff <br />representation at OUTBoard meetings when <br />transit is to be discussed. <br />• In December 2014, the Planning Director <br />conveyed this heightened approach to transit <br />planning to the OUTBoard and communicated <br />how staff support of OUTBoard meetings <br />would be met in the upcoming year. <br />• The Planning Director has begun a series of <br />orientation meetings with BOCC appointments <br />to municipal planning boards. <br />Department of Environmental, Agricultural, Parks, <br />and Recreation (DEAPR) <br />• Commission for the Environment held joint <br />meeting with the Board of Commissioners in <br />fall 2014. <br />• Chairs and vice - chairs from the DEAPR- staffed <br />boards (Commission for Environment, <br />Agricultural Preservation Board, Historic <br />Preservation Commission and Parks and <br />Recreation Council) met annually in most years <br />2009 -15 with staff to discuss matters of mutual <br />interest such as sustainability, coordinate on <br />certain projects, or share information about <br />activities.
