BOARD OF ORANGE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS (BOCC) <br />GOALS — 2015 UPDATE <br />FOR DISCUSSIONS PURPOSES <br />Human Resources <br />• Develop and maintain a diverse workforce that <br />exemplifies a commitment to EEO policies and <br />to ensure compliance with our affirmative <br />action policy, which is to promote equal access <br />to employment by protected groups and to <br />continually evaluate our recruiting practices for <br />potential adverse impact. <br />• Continue to evaluate employee benefits and <br />services to ensure all are compliant with <br />applicable federal and state laws and <br />regulations and the Orange County Code of <br />Ordinances. <br />• Solicit employee feedback on health insurance <br />programs to ensure the appropriate balance of <br />the needs of employees and fiscal <br />m <br />information about services to Orange <br />County patients. <br />• Implemented a bi- annual satisfaction <br />survey to communicate with the public. <br />• Routine program evaluations; installed <br />suggestion boxes at the senior centers; and <br />each senior center has a program advisory <br />committee. <br />• Participate in community events, including <br />health fairs, information type events and <br />staff are invited to speak at local civic <br />groups and faith organizations. <br />• Hosted groups from England, Japan, and <br />Brazil interesting in learning about best <br />practices in community aging services. <br />• Host a weekly television show called "In <br />Praise of Age." <br />Human Resources <br />• Administer an online hiring process that <br />provides timely updates to applicants and <br />to ensure equal access to employment by <br />all prospective applicants. <br />• Create an internal Health Advisory <br />Committee to promote employee <br />participation in evaluation and selection. <br />
