Wilson Industrial Access Road Petition <br />Information <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Abigaile Pittman, 245 -2567 <br />Tom Altieri, 245 -2575 <br />Craig Benedict, 245 -2585 <br />PURPOSE: To make a recommendation to the North Carolina Department of <br />Transportation (NCDOT), and the North Carolina Board of Transportation (NC BOT) on two <br />petitions to add one (1) subdivision road in Triple Crown Estates Subdivision, and one (1) <br />industrial access road to the State Maintained Secondary Road System. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />This request includes two (2) petitions for two (2) road additions to the State Maintained <br />Secondary Road System. The roads and their respective lengths and widths are as follows: <br />Triple Crown Estates Subdivision <br />Triple Crown Drive is approximately 0.66 mile in length. One (1) platted lot for single - family <br />residential use currently has frontage along Triple Crown Drive. The road is situated west <br />of Dairyland Road and north of NC 54 (Attachment 1a), and is located in Orange County's <br />zoning and subdivision jurisdiction. <br />The road is a private road constructed to public road standards as part of several minor and <br />exempt subdivisions approved by staff in the early 2000's, and recorded in the Orange <br />County Register of Deeds Office.
