Gordon (retiring Commissioner), Barry Jacobs, Bernadette Pelissier, Renee Price, <br />Penny Rich, and Mia Burroughs (incoming Commissioner). <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br />COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: John Roberts <br />COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Bonnie Hammersley, Assistant County <br />Managers Clarence Grier, Cheryl Young and Clerk to the Board Donna Baker (All other staff <br />members will be identified appropriately below) <br />NOTE: ALL DOCUMENTS REFERRED TO IN THESE MINUTES ARE IN THE PERMANENT <br />AGENDA FILE IN THE CLERK'S OFFICE. <br />Chair Jacobs called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. He welcomed everyone and <br />recognized the new Sheriff, Charles Blackwood, who was in attendance. <br />Resolution of Commendation for Commissioner Alice M. Gordon <br />Chair Jacobs read the following resolution: <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION FOR <br />COMMISSIONER ALICE M. GORDON <br />WHEREAS, the voters of Orange County elected Alice M. Gordon to the Board of County <br />Commissioners in 1990 and re- elected her in 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, Commissioner Alice Gordon was elected Chair of the Board of Commissioners in <br />1999; and <br />WHEREAS, Commissioner Gordon has proven to be a dedicated and effective public servant <br />who, as she said on the campaign trail, "does her homework" including combing through every <br />agenda item with keen focus on detail, gaining the respect of all who have known her in both the <br />public and private sectors; and <br />
