Gordon, <br />13 Earl McKee, Bernadette Pelissier, Renee Price and Penny Rich <br />14 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Mark Dorosin <br />15 COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: John Roberts <br />16 COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Bonnie Hammersley, Assistant County <br />17 Managers Clarence Grier, Cheryl Young and Clerk to the Board Donna Baker (All other staff <br />18 members will be identified appropriately below) <br />19 NOTE: ALL DOCUMENTS REFERRED TO IN THESE MINUTES ARE IN THE PERMANENT <br />20 AGENDA FILE IN THE CLERK'S OFFICE. <br />21 <br />22 Chair Jacobs called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. <br />23 1. Additions or Changes to the Agenda <br />24 Chair Jacobs noted that the following proposed addition to the agenda: <br />25 - Pink Sheet - Addition to the Agenda - Item 4 -c - Proposed Proclamation Recognizing the <br />26 Twenty Five Year Anniversary of Orange County's Curbside Recycling <br />27 <br />28 A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Pelissier to <br />29 add this item to the agenda as item 4 -c. <br />30 <br />31 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />32 <br />33 Chair Jacobs reviewed the following list of items at the Commissioner's places: <br />34 - Proposed Revisions for item 4 -b - Resolution of Declaration on Climate Change <br />35 - Revised attachment 7 for item 5 -b - Unified Development Ordinance Text Amendment <br />36 Requiring Neighborhood Information Meetings for Special Use Permit Applications <br />37 - Memo regarding item 7a - Proposed Orange County Parks and Recreation Master Plan 2030 <br />38 - Orange County Facility Report for November 2014 <br />39 <br />40 Chair Jacobs recognized Bonnie Hammersley, who deferred to Jeff Thompson. <br />41 Introduction of new Sustainability Coordinator: Brennan Bouma <br />42 Jeff Thompson introduced Brennan Bouma as the new Sustainability Coordinator for <br />43 Orange County. He said Brennan Bouma comes from the Triangle J Council of Governments <br />44 (TJCOG), where he served as a regional energy and environmental planner. He said Mr. <br />45 Bouma will collaborate with the departments and assist the staff of the council of the <br />46 environment. <br />47 Brennan Bouma said he wanted to recognize Orange County's leadership and vision of <br />48 sustainability. He said he looks forward to working with the Board of County Commissioners <br />49 and the Orange County residents. <br />50 <br />51 Chair Jacobs welcomed him, on behalf of the Board. <br />
