Gordon, 13 Earl McKee, Bernadette Pelissier, Renee Price and Penny Rich 14 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Mark Dorosin 15 COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: John Roberts 16 COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Bonnie Hammersley, Assistant County 17 Managers Clarence Grier, Cheryl Young and Clerk to the Board Donna Baker (All other staff 18 members will be identified appropriately below) 19 NOTE: ALL DOCUMENTS REFERRED TO IN THESE MINUTES ARE IN THE PERMANENT 20 AGENDA FILE IN THE CLERK'S OFFICE. 21 22 Chair Jacobs called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. 23 1. Additions or Changes to the Agenda 24 Chair Jacobs noted that the following proposed addition to the agenda: 25 - Pink Sheet - Addition to the Agenda - Item 4 -c - Proposed Proclamation Recognizing the 26 Twenty Five Year Anniversary of Orange County's Curbside Recycling 27 28 A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Pelissier to 29 add this item to the agenda as item 4 -c. 30 31 VOTE: UNANIMOUS 32 33 Chair Jacobs reviewed the following list of items at the Commissioner's places: 34 - Proposed Revisions for item 4 -b - Resolution of Declaration on Climate Change 35 - Revised attachment 7 for item 5 -b - Unified Development Ordinance Text Amendment 36 Requiring Neighborhood Information Meetings for Special Use Permit Applications 37 - Memo regarding item 7a - Proposed Orange County Parks and Recreation Master Plan 2030 38 - Orange County Facility Report for November 2014 39 40 Chair Jacobs recognized Bonnie Hammersley, who deferred to Jeff Thompson. 41 Introduction of new Sustainability Coordinator: Brennan Bouma 42 Jeff Thompson introduced Brennan Bouma as the new Sustainability Coordinator for 43 Orange County. He said Brennan Bouma comes from the Triangle J Council of Governments 44 (TJCOG), where he served as a regional energy and environmental planner. He said Mr. 45 Bouma will collaborate with the departments and assist the staff of the council of the 46 environment. 47 Brennan Bouma said he wanted to recognize Orange County's leadership and vision of 48 sustainability. He said he looks forward to working with the Board of County Commissioners 49 and the Orange County residents. 50 51 Chair Jacobs welcomed him, on behalf of the Board.
