BOOK 1549 P,-,a 488 <br /> EXHIBIT <br /> PUBLIC NOTICE <br /> OF LAND TRANSFER <br /> Pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. §160A-274 and §160A-267, the <br /> Orange County Board of Commissioners hereby gives notice of its <br /> authorization by passage of a resolution at its regular meeting <br /> held on December 14, 1995, to transfer land owned by Orange County <br /> to the Town of Chapel Hill. <br /> The property being transferred is located in Chapel Hill, <br /> Orange County, North Carolina, off of Henderson Street (aka <br /> Scarlette Drive) , is Orange County tax parcel 7.27A.B.7 and is more <br /> particularly described as follows: <br /> All that certain lot or parcel of land situated, lying and being on <br /> the West side of Henderson Street in the town of Chapel Hill, North <br /> Carolina, and known and designated as Lot No. 19 in Block "Al' of <br /> the University Heights as surveyed by F. M. Carlisle on May 21, <br /> 1947, Plot of which is on file in the Office of the Register of <br /> Deeds of Orange County in Plot Book 4, at Page 17, and more <br /> particularly described as BEGINNING at a stake in the West property <br /> line of the said street, the Southeast corner of Lot No. 18; <br /> running thence with the line of the said Lot South 680 37' West <br /> 274.3 feet to a stake; running thence South 190 09' East 25 feet to <br /> a stake, the Northwest corner of Lot No. 20; running thence with <br /> the line of the said Lot North 69° 37' East 275.7 feet to a stake <br /> in the West property line of Henderson Street; running thence along <br /> the West property line of said Street North 210 23' West 25 feet to <br /> the BEGINNING, PIN # 9799-68-2079, <br /> This property is adjacent to land owned by the Town of Chapel <br /> Hill. This transfer has been done so that the lot owned by Orange <br /> County can be merged with the lot owned by the Town of Chapel Hill. <br /> This merged lot will then be used to develop starter homes as part <br /> of an affordable housing project. <br /> This transfer shall be completed no sooner than 10 days after <br /> publication of this notice. <br /> J <br />
