Table 4-3: <br /> ORANGE COUNTY EWPLEMENTATION PLAN <br /> FIRST YEAR ACTION PLAN: 1995-96 <br /> Immediate Activities <br /> October 1995 <br /> • Review the draft final report of the Transportation Development Plan by the Steering <br /> Committee and the NCDOT. <br /> • Upon receipt of comments from the Steering Committee and the NCDOT, the draft final <br /> report will be revised by the consultant. <br /> • Submission of the final report to the Steering Committee and the NCDOT. <br /> December 1995 <br /> • Prepare Section 18 application for FY1996-97 <br /> Remainder of 1995-96 Fiscal Year <br /> December 1995 <br /> • Transportation Advisory Board appointed as on-going oversight committee. <br /> • Begin developing appropriations to cover the cost of vehicle insurance and any drug & <br /> alcohol testing which will not be covered by Section 18 funds beginning July 1, 1996. <br /> • Submit Section 18 application (due January). <br /> January 1996 <br /> • Hold regular quarterly meeting of Transportation Advisory Board. <br /> • Develop and submit performance and operating statistics. <br /> • Meetings between OPT and Orange County Partnership for Young Children (OCPYC) <br /> should be held concerning the Smart Start initiative. <br /> April 1996 <br /> • Review services provided under the E&DTAP funding program to determine what policies <br /> must be changed so that costs and demand does not too far exceed funding. <br /> • Begin preparation of E&DTAP funding request for FY1996-97 (due July). <br /> -50- <br />
