4 <br /> WHEREAS, the development of affordable housing is a benefit to <br /> the people of Orange County, and <br /> WHEREAS, Orange County wishes to convey the County owned lot <br /> to the Town of Chapel Hill for the purpose described herein, and <br /> WHEREAS, Orange County is receiving full and fair <br /> consideration for the land it owns, and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with North Carolina General Statutes <br /> S160A-267, Orange County shall cause to be published a notice <br /> summarizing the contents of this resolution once after its adoption <br /> with the exchange of title to the County owned lot occurring no <br /> earlier than 10 days of this publication, and <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statutes S160A-274, authorizes <br /> Orange County to sell any real property belonging to Orange County <br /> to any other governmental unit upon such terms and conditions as <br /> Orange County deems wise, with or without consideration. <br /> IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT <br /> 1. Orange County, pursuant to North Carolina General <br /> Statutes S160A-274, offers to transfer to the Town of Chapel Hill <br /> the County owned lot. <br /> 2 . The Orange County Attorney's office is authorized to <br /> cause to be published notice of this resolution in accordance with <br /> North Carolina General Statutes 5160A-267 . <br /> 3. The Chair of the Board of County Commissioners is <br /> authorized to execute a deed for The Orange County lot, on behalf <br /> of Orange County (and the Clerk to the Board of Commissioners is <br /> authorized to attest this deed) , in a form approved by the Orange <br /> County attorney, naming as grantee the Town of Chapel Hill. <br />
