We want to place <br /> emphasis on those issues and programs of highest priority to the <br /> citizens of Orange County. We are still striving to position ourselves <br /> to meet the future challenges facing Orange County. <br /> We realize that this is short notice, however, we ask that <br /> you communicate to us by December 1 the top one or two priorities of <br /> your Board or Commission for the next fiscal year. We fully recognize <br /> that your top priorities may be continuing functions or needs which <br /> have not been addressed or new ones which have come to your attention. <br /> This year we plan to reserve some time to hear from some of <br /> you in person. While we cannot hear from all of you on this day, we <br /> will allocate 10-15 minutes to some boards or commissions . The main <br /> purpose of this time will be to raise consciousness levels for problems <br /> or potential solutions to issues we will face in the future. If you <br /> are interested in participating on behalf of your board or commission, <br /> please send your priorities to Beverly Blythe in writing and contact <br /> her to indicate your desire to participate on December 9. We will <br /> contact you about times of the session. <br /> You will have the opportunity to comment on the draft set of <br /> strategic priorities and goals developed from our December 9, 1995 goal <br /> retreat. Your comments will be helpful to us in finalizing these <br /> priorities. <br /> We thank you for volunteering your time in service to the <br /> citizens of Orange County and we welcome your views in our policy <br /> making process .
