Y3~ lvtinutas of the Board of Commissioners <br />Lfonday, June 23, 1952 <br />An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Commissioner sfor the County <br />of Orenga, North Carolina, convened at the Courthouse, In Hillsboro, North <br />Carolina, the regular place of meeting, at 10 o~clock A. ;.1., on June 23, 1952. <br />Present: Chairman Collier Cobb, Jr., end Commissioners R. 0. Forrest and -~ <br />Sim L. Eflend. <br />Absent: None. -' <br />A letter wes read from b1r. I. Beverly Laka, Assistant Attorney General, <br />expressing doubt as to the legality of levying a tax for the purpose of build- <br />ing a Courthouse. <br />Mr. Archie R. Davis, Architect for the proposed new courthouse, was <br />instructed to contact the contractors who submitted the low bids on building <br />the courthouse to sae if something could be worked out within the x`250, 000.00 <br />bond issue, whereby construction could be started. <br />There being no further business, upon motion, adjourned to meet at 8 <br />o'clock P.
