lba <br /> PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br /> (DRAFT] <br /> REFERENCE: ZONING ORDINANCE - ARTICLE 6. 16.6.3 <br /> Home Occupations in the RB, AR and R-1 Districts <br /> (Minimum 200, 000 square foot lots) . <br /> ORIGIN OF AMENDMENT: �X_ Staff Planning Board <br /> BOCC Public <br /> Other: <br /> EXPECTED PUBLIC HEARING DATE: November 27, 1995 <br /> Purgose of Amendment: The proposed amendment will clarify the <br /> intent of setback and screening requirements for home occupations <br /> on lots greater than 200, 000 square feet (4.59 acres) in size. <br /> ImpactslIssues: Dimensional requirements for home occupations are <br /> intended to be proportional to the size of the lot on which the <br /> home occupation is located. That is, larger areas for home <br /> occupations are allowed on lots that contain at least 4.59 acres. <br /> To ensure that adjacent properties are not affected by home <br /> occupations on larger lots, additional setbacks and screening <br /> requirements are included in Article 6. 16.6.3b) . <br /> The proposed amendment will clarify the intent of Article 6. 16. 6. 3 <br /> which is to buffer from adjacent roads and lots accessory <br /> structures and outdoor storage areas used for home occupations. The <br /> amendment will also correct the placement of text controlling the <br /> amount of outdoor storage allowed. Currently that provision is <br /> found under the standards for accessory structures; however, it <br /> applies to all home ozcupattions__ (on_ larger—latsl_ and will be <br /> renumbered so that the meaning is evident. <br /> EXISTING ORDINANCE TEXT: <br /> 6.16.6.3 Home Occupations in the RB, AR and R-1 Districts <br /> (Minimum 200,000 square foot lots) . <br /> The following restrictions shall be applied to home occu- <br /> pations in the RB, AR and R-1 districts on lots in excess <br /> of 200,000 square feet. <br /> a) A maximum of 2000 square feet of floor area may be <br /> used for the home occupation.
