BACKGROUND: Home occupations are permitted in residential districts as accessory uses. Standards for home occupations are established generally according to lot size. Larger floor area and outdoor storage area are allowed for home occupations on lots that exceed 4 .59 acres (200,000 square feet) . The proposed amendment will make clear the intent of Article 6.16.6.3 by allowing standard setbacks to apply to accessory structures and storage areas used for home occupations, provided the home occupation is not visible from adjacent property and roads. RECOMMENDATION: Article 20 of the Zoning Ordinance specifies that the public hearing is the time scheduled for presentation of the Zoning Officer's recommendation regarding proposed amendments to the ordinance.
