Subsequently, in 1994, all roads except <br /> residential access roads and interstate highways within a one-half mile radius of 12 study farms were <br /> evaluated for development of a purchase of development rights program for the county. More recently, <br /> in the Summer of 1995, interns surveyed rural roads as part of a regional transportation modeling <br /> project and identified additional "scenic road" candidates. The results of all these surveys have been <br /> combined to form the system of scenic routes shown on the Scenic Road Corridors Map. <br />
