The <br /> width is based on studies of forest interior vegetation and predatory behavior in corridors and <br /> forest edges. The 200-meter width is also recommended as a buffer area around natural areas and <br /> wildlife habitats which are part of the overall corridor system but he outside of a major stream <br /> linking such areas and habitats. <br />
