Chapel Hill 967-9251 <br /> PURPOSE: To approve the advertisement for the November 27, 1995 quarterly <br /> public hearing. <br /> BACKGROUND: The next regular quarterly public hearing is scheduled for November 27, <br /> 1995. A summary of each item proposed for public hearing is provided <br /> below. The proposed legal advertisement, the text of proposed <br /> ordinance amendments, and other background information are attached. <br /> COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENTS <br /> • CP-2-95 Charles W. and James L. Davis <br /> Charles and James Davis have requested an amendment to the <br /> Land Use Element of the Orange County Comprehensive Plan to <br /> expand an existing Twenty-Year Transition area to include a 50- <br /> acre portion of their 108-acre parcel which is currently designated <br /> Rural Residential. The property in question is located between NC <br /> 86 and Churton Street Extension, adjacent to the Town of <br /> Hillsborough ETJ and the northern boundary of the I-40/NC 86 <br /> EDD. The remainder of the parcel is already designated Twenty- <br /> Year Transition. <br /> • CP-3-95 Land Use Plan Amendments <br /> The proposed amendments to the Land Use Element and Land <br /> Use Plan Map include revisions to the following: <br /> Section 2.2 - Natural Environment: To rename the section, <br /> Natural & Cultural Resources, update and expand information <br /> concerning such features, and provide a basis for prioritizing these <br /> features in terms of Primary and Secondary Conservation Areas. <br />
