2 <br /> SFY1995-96 RURAL GENERAL PUBLIC PROGRAM <br /> CERTIFIED STATEMENT <br /> Pursuant to Article 2B of Chapter 136 of the North Carolina General Statutes which designates <br /> the Department of Transportation as the agency of the State of North Carolina responsible for <br /> administering all federal and/or state programs relating to public transportation, and grants the <br /> Department authority to do all things required under applicable federal and/or state legislation to <br /> administer properly the public transportation programs within the State of North Carolina, this is <br /> to certify that the undersigned is the duly elected,qualified and acting chairperson of the <br /> Board of County Commissioners , located in orange County <br /> (Section 18 system's governing body) <br /> North Carolina, and the following statements are true and correct: <br /> 1. T hat the funds received will be used to provide rural general public transportation <br /> services for SFY 1995-96. <br /> 2. That the funds will be used in a manner consistent with the local General <br /> Public Services Plan. <br /> 3. That the interest earned on these funds will be expended in accordance with <br /> program guidelines. <br /> 4.
