Fikes x2490 <br /> TELEPHONE NUMBER <br /> Hillsborough 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill 968-4501 <br /> Mebane 227-2031 <br /> Durham 688-7331 <br /> ----------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> PURPOSE: To award two housing rehabilitation contracts for the HOME <br /> Housing Rehabilitation Program. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Housing and Community Development Department solicited bids <br /> from qualified housing rehabilitation contractors participating <br /> in the County' s Housing Rehabilitation Program. Sealed bids <br /> were received from participating contractors on September 29, <br /> 1995 and opened on the same day. Bid results are attached. <br /> Present program procedures provide that housing rehabilitation <br /> contracts be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. The <br /> lowest resposible bidder for both dwellings is Taylor Home <br /> Improvements. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> The Manager recommends awarding the following three rehabilitation <br /> contracts: <br /> Dwelling Unit Bid Amount Contractor <br /> #6 $ 28,685 Taylor Home Improvements <br /> #21 $ 12,350 Taylor Home Improvements <br />
