The percent of persons employed in government is expected to decline slightlyxduring the next twenty years while the trade and service sectors will experience slight but steady increases in their'percent of the employment force, The percent of persons employed in manufacturing will remain about the same. The distribution of these four major sectors of the region's employment is depicted graphically in Figure 2, showing projections for 1990.
