BACKGROUND: At the October 2, 1995 meeting, the Board of Commissioners adopted a Resolution officially authorizing staff to pursue private placement financing for the Jail/Courthouse and Southern Human Services Center projects. To meet the statutory and LGC requirements, the County must hold a Public Hearing on the financing proposal which it intends to accept. Notice of the Public Hearing must be advertised at least ten days before the date fixed for the Hearing. Requests for Financing Proposals will be solicited by October 11, 1995 and it will be required that all proposals be returned to the County on November 7, 1995. Staff will review the proposals and make a recommendation to the Board at the Public Hearing. RECOMMENDATION(S) : The Manager recommends that the Board: 1. Establish the Public Hearing Date for November 14, 1995 2. Instruct the Clerk to Board to advertise the Public Hearing Notice at least ten days prior to the Hearing.
