12 Housing and Communijy Development Advisory Board's Recommendation: The Housing and Community Development Advisory Board met on April 25, 1995, and recommended that the Council adopt the Recommended Northwest Small Area Plan as proposed. The Board also reaffirmed the Plan's commitment to affordable housing as part of the development strategy. (Vote: 6-0) i Human Services Advisory Board's Recommendation: The Human Services Advisory Board met on June 1, 1995, and suggested several comments and recommendations. Please see attached summary of their consensus recommendation. Manager's Recommendation: That the Council schedule a meeting on August 30, 1995, in order to conduct a work session on the Recommended Northwest Small Area Plan. We also recommend that the Council schedule the Plan for discussion on September 11, 1995 in order to consider referring the Plan to Orange County and the Town of Carrboro for the Joint Planning Public Hearing on October 11, 1995. Adoption of the attached Resolution A would do so. Resolution B would refer the Northwest Small Area Plan back to the Small Area Plan Work Group to consider issues to be identified by the Council.
