Purpose of the Plan <br /> • The Plan and the Process component of the Town's Comprehensive Plan. <br /> The Northwest Area is the second of the three <br /> In June, 1989, the Chapel Hill Town Council small areas that were selected. The third area is <br /> adopted a new Comprehensive Plan. The northeast of the Town, and includes land east and <br /> Comprehensive Plan identified the goals of west of Erwin Road. <br /> encouraging citizen participation, providing <br /> adequate opportunities for employment, The Small Area Plans are designed to provide a <br /> preserving the natural environment, providing thorough description of the environmental <br /> adequate housing, maintaining Town character, constraints to development.
