Drainage Basins <br /> This map identifies and delineates the land forms <br /> that make up the various watersheds and drainage - <br /> basins within the study area. The map also <br /> includes transportation systems in relation to the <br /> small area drainage basins and waterways. <br /> Area Summary <br /> A primary ridge meanders through the study area, <br /> from east to west, separating the area into three <br /> drainage basins. The New Hope drainage basin <br /> runs to the north, eventually passing under <br /> Interstate 40. The Bolin drainage basin runs to the <br /> southwest, while the Booker drainage basin runs <br /> to the southeast. <br /> The area does not contain major sewer lines. The <br /> North Forest Hills interceptor sewer line has been <br /> extended, however, to provide sewer service to <br /> the Rainbow Heights public housing development <br /> on N.C. 86. <br /> The area does contain water distribution lines <br /> along Homestead Road, SeawelI School Road,and <br /> on the southern portion of Rogers Road.
