Elevation Study / land Structure
The Elevation Study gives a graphic interpretation
of the topography of the Northwest Study Area.
Area Summary
The area ranges in elevation from 510 to 550 feet.
In general, the area has gently rolling, almost flat
topography.
A primary ridge line runs southwest to northeast
across the site. The area north of this primary
ridge is almost entirely flat.
The most western portion of the study area rises
toward Blackwood Mountain, which is outside of
the study area.
Branches of Booker Creek flow from the center of
the study area to the southeast, while branches of
Bolin Creek flow from the center of the study area
to the southwest.
Branches of Old Field Creek flow from both the
center of the study area and from Blackwood
Mountain north, eventually passing under
Interstate 40 at a point that is within the study
area.
Page 12
Northwest Small Area Plan
