4 <br /> COST OF ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> Your proposal must indicate a lump sum amount for all work cited above. It is understood that <br /> certain costs will be paid upon a reimbursement basis (eg. copies, postage, etc.). Your proposal <br /> must identify those items which are not within the scope of your lump sum cost. If the cost will be <br /> billed on any basis other than actual cost incurred the basis for billing must be cited as well. It <br /> will expedite the evaluation process greatly if you will use the form of proposal included in this <br /> information packet. <br /> PROJECT TIME TABLE <br /> We anticipate that the Board of Commissioners will award the contract for engineering work on <br /> this project on October 2, with Notice to Proceed issued by October 6. Time is of the essence to <br /> get the project out to bid, particularly the Northern Human Services Building-component. Please <br /> include in your proposal your estimate of when the plans and specs can be ready for <br /> bidding. <br /> RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS/CLARIFICATIONS REQUIRED <br /> Proposals will be received in the office of the Orange County Purchasing Director, 132 East King <br /> Street, Hillsborough, NC until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 1995. You may also fax <br /> your proposal to (919) 6443001 prior to 5:00 p.m. on September 6, 1995. <br /> Questions relating to the scope of work should be directed to Paul Thames, County Engineer, <br /> extension 2300. Questions regarding other sections of this Request may be directed to Pam <br /> Jones, Director of Purchasing and Central Services. <br />
