2 <br /> After the public hearing on the cable companies' <br /> responses to the RFP, negotiations for the new cable <br /> franchise agreement will begin. The Cable Committee has <br /> recommended that two cable committee members, County <br /> Manager, Assistant County Manager, County Attorney <br /> and Cable Consultant represent the County during <br /> negotiations. <br /> Hopefully negotiations will be completed by February 24, <br /> 1996 which is the expiration date of existing cable <br /> franchise agreements with the cable companies. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : The Manager recommends that the Board approve <br /> the Request For Proposal for Cable- <br /> Telecommunication Distribution System <br /> Infrastructure and authorize two cable committee <br /> members, County Manager, Assistant County <br /> Manager, County Attorney and Cable Consultant to <br /> represent the County during negotiations with <br /> the cable companies. <br />
