Attachment 1 <br /> Drug and Alcohol Testing Coverage <br /> :::.::::..... ......... ... h <br /> Pre Employment Any permanent employee whose position is: <br /> • Covered under the Federal drug and alcohol testing <br /> regulations, or <br /> • Designated by the County as "Safety Sensitive" <br /> Any temporary employee whose position: <br /> • Is covered under the Federal drug and alcohol testing <br /> regulations, or <br /> • Involves driving an emergency response vehicle transporting <br /> patients <br /> Reasonable Suspicion Any permanent or temporary employee when trained personnel <br /> determine that reasonable suspicion exists. <br /> Random Any permanent or temporary employee whose position: <br /> • Is covered under the Federal drug and alcohol testing <br /> regulations, or <br /> • Involves driving an emergency response vehicle transporting <br /> patients <br /> Post Accident Any permanent or temporary employee when conditions for <br /> post-accident testing are met as provided in the Orange County <br /> Personnel Ordinance, Article M, Section 11.2.4. <br /> Return-to-Duty Any permanent or temporary employee if the employee <br /> previously had a confirmed positive alcohol test and returns to <br /> work. <br /> Follow-Up Any permanent or temporary employee who has returned to duty <br /> following a positive test result. <br /> 9/25/95 <br /> * See Orange County Personnel Ordinance,Article III, Section 11.0 and Appendix A. <br />
