6 <br /> Jail and Courthouse Addition Project <br /> Capital Project Ordinance <br /> Project Number 61-420 <br /> Be it ordained by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners that pursuant to Section 13.2 of Chapter 159 <br /> of the General Statutes of North Carolina,the following capital project is hereby adopted. <br /> Section 1. The project authorized will provide funds to construct an addition to the existing jail and an additional Superior <br /> courtroom for the New Courthouse. This project will be financed by proceeds from the County's portion <br /> of the one half cent sales tax,a federal grant from the U.S.Marshals Office,and private placement funding. <br /> Section 2. The officers of the County are hereby directed to proceed with the project within the budget <br /> contained herein. <br /> Section 3. The following revenue is anticipated to complete this project: <br /> Transfer from Jail Addition Project(1995-96) $2,000,000 <br /> Transfer from New Courthouse Capital Project(1995-96) S507,104 <br /> Total Transfers $2,507,104 <br /> Private Placement(1995-96) $1,500,000 <br /> Total Revenue $ 007104 <br /> Section 4. The following amount is appropriated for this project: <br /> JaiUCourthouseAddition Project $4,007,104 <br /> Section 5.
