Your Willis team will
develop placement strategies tailored to your specific profile and needs. Willis
has elected not to have a centralized marketing facility so that the people who
know your account best — your account team — are also responsible for
marketing it to the underwriting community. We believe that each client must
be differentiated from its peers, not homogenized in the marketplace. Insurance
should not be a volume business and every client deserves its own best deal.
Once we have agreed upon your insurance risk management objectives, the
marketing project will commence with the design and placement of the
appropriate insurance coverages. Commonly referred to as the transactional,
phase, the marketing and placement of coverage reflect your appetite for risk
retention and the scope of exposure to loss that arises out of your daily
operations. Immediately upon being, appointed as your broker, we will do a
complete analysis of your program to include review of the policy language,
review of limits and sublimits, review of deductible structure, review of all terms
and conditions, etc. We will then make change suggestions to you as
appropriate. As part of our professional standards we include on all of our
proposals the most recent AM Best rating and the date it was rated for each
proposed carrier.
Willis recommends that all exposure, underwriting data and applications be
developed and provided to us at least 120 days prior to renewal. When the
underwriting data is received, Willis undertakes a thorough review and analysis
before preparing the underwriting submissions for presentation to the market. All
submission information is reviewed with you prior to its release to the market. The
underwriting submission will include:
ral Introduction of Orange County, including history and overall goals
si Account specific cost, coverage and limit requirements
rm Insurer service requirements
i,a Cash flow considerations
mA Risk assumption philosophy of Orange County
Orange Ccurty—Request far Broker Qualifications and Conceptual Proposal-September 23,2014 12
